Terrible Accomodation

We were disgusted with the accomodation. The bedding had not been changed - there were pubic hairs on the sheets from the previous guests. The Kitchen was dirty, toaster filthy, oven filthy, sink filthy - these had not been cleaned for some time. Indeed the whole accomodation was unclean and dirty. There were items like cerials etc which had a used by date of 2006! Bacon and eggs had been left in the fridge - but no butter for the bread of cooking oil. I did not want to stay but I had paid £75 deposit which I could not afford to loose being retired. As soon as we arrived at the accomodation I was requested for full payment - this made me suspicious. I did not want to complain and make a scene as I have a sick wife who gets very upset easily. My whole weekend break was ruined by the unpleasant experience.

I stayed with my 4y/o child in the B&B room. The room had not been cleaned thoroughly, the sheets were not ironed, but clean. The toilet had to be shared with other B&B-guests/friends of the family. It could not be locked and had no blinds. The bathroom was shared with part of the family and was again not as clean / tidy as I would have wished for. We could use the small Observatory for breakfast/in the evening. There was a small fridge with the marmalade, milk and butter for breakfast and we could use it as well. It was moldy when we arrived, and the carton of the orange juce was very dusty, but that was taken care of straight away, at my mentioning it. Needless to say the landlady was sorry about it. There were coffee/tea making facilities, but I had to ask most evenings for a cup. I was told, they usually have business guests, which do not spend the evenings in the house. The landlady was always happy to help when asked, explained how to get to places, borrowed us children DVD’s and her notebook when I needed to go online etc. Sadly it was not as child welcoming as I had expected it to be, which had been the main reason to choose it. My son was happy to leave, even though we went on very nice day trips.
