Enjoy the atmosphere of a Cornish country house, dating back to 1640. Set in five acres of gardens and meadows, two miles from Helston at the head of the Lizard Peninsula, Tregathenan House offers tranquil surroundings in which to relax and enjoy high standards of comfort and service.Breakfast, prepared using local produce, is served in the light and spacious dining room with extensive views over the gardens and surrounding countryside to the sea around Porthleven.The house is furnished in an Edwardian style with many period pieces and exposed granite features.

The cosy guest sitting room is the perfect setting for relaxing after a good day’s walking or sightseeing. The room has many original features including an impressive Cornish granite fireplace, now with a real log-burning stove, and exposed beams. Catch up on your correspondence or simply write a few postcards in the study on the first floor landing

The BedroomsOur three guest bedrooms have been tastefully furnished in keeping with the Edwardian theme. The bedrooms are named after our favourite local coves: Poldhu, Kynance and Gunwalloe.POLDHU- Double room with a King size double (or twin beds) bed and an en suite shower roomA delightful twin aspect room, which is light and airy.KYNANCE. Double room with standard sized double bed and an en suite shower room.The first room to catch the morning sunshine.GUNWALLOE. Double room with a Queen-size double bed in the oldest part of Tregathenan House with feature granite fireplace and private bathroom All our bedrooms are equipped to the highest standards and we aim to provide your every need. The rooms have quality beds and bedding, remote control colour televisions, radio / alarm clocks and tea and coffee making facilities. The en suite facilities feature spacious showers washbasin and wc. Our guest soaps are produced on the nearby Trevarno Estate. Tregathenan House is centrally heated throughout and all bedrooms have individual temperature control.

Breakfast: A full English Breakfast is prepared using where possible local or homemade ingredients. Vegetarian breakfasts available.
