Comely Bank is a comfortable family home. There's a cosy lounge with a log fire, and a peaceful garden adjoining the river Clunie, where you can sit and watch the wildlife - maybe even see an otter if you're really lucky!





We have available 1 double & 1 twin/triple bedded ensuite rooms also 1 ground floor single room with private facilities.



All rooms have thermostatically controlled central heating, wash basin, TV. tea and coffee making facilities, and sweeties!





Breakfasts are guaranteed to set you up for the day. Packed lunch and evening meal by arrangement.

Driving Directions: From the south, take the A93 from Perth. Braemar is 49 miles north of Perth. From the east, take the A93 from Aberdeen. Braemar is 59 miles west of Aberdeen. From the north,Take the A939 Grantown-on-Spey via Tomintoul, then the B973 from the bridge at Gairnshiel Lodge (right hand fork), then the A93 at Crathie (right turn, signposted Braemar). On reaching the Village, follow signs for Village Centre. The road crosses a bridge and passes the Fife Arms Hotel on the right. Turn right here into Fife Brae and continue to the road junction. Turn right again and Comely Bank is about 100m along on the right.

Local Area Attractions: Linn of Dee beauty spot, a spectacular waterfall in a narrow gorge, where salmon can occasionally be seen leaping. Linn of Quoich and Glen Quoich, waterfalls and beautiful woodland walks among ancient Caledonian pine trees. The area abounds with wildlife, especially red squirrels, a Scottish speciality. Balmoral Castle, holiday home of the royal family:- magnificent gardens and grounds, exhibitions,riverside walks, excellent tea room and gift shop. Stalking, shooting and game fishing. Pony trekking. Hillwalking and rock climbing. Ski-ing at Glenshee, Britain's largest ski centre,10 minutes' drive south. Also at the Lecht, ideal for beginners and less experienced, 1 hour's drive north.

Onsite Activities: Bird watching, riverwatching (river runs at the bottom of the garden, if you're up early enough you may get to see the otters). Garden barbecue available for guests' use.
