Easter Tarr Farmhouse is situated in the beautiful countryside to the west of Stirling in Scotland. We are six miles from the boundary of Scotland's first National Park, which encompasses the Trossachs and Loch Lomond areas. We are also just 14 miles from Stirling, a historic town, with a wide range of shops and entertainments. We offer a warm welcome to all our guests and provide a friendly atmosphere for your stay. All rooms in the Farmhouse are en suite and we are among the highest rated Bed and Breakfast establishments on both the AA and Tourist Board listings.. "The Tarr", as our house is nicknamed locally, was built in 1825 and we are only the third family to live here in over a hundred years. "The Tarr" stands two miles west of the village of Thornhill, which has celebrated its 300th anniversary and is located in a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. Many of our guests take their evening meals in one of the hotels or restaurants in Thornhill or in Callander, which is also not far away. The restaurant in the nearest hotel (The Lion and The Unicorn) has an excellent reputation for food and is reasonably priced. |
