Ascot House is a family run Guest House in the Historic city of York. Our Attractive Victorian Villa was built in1869 by a prominent York family who wanted to be 'not far from the city centre'. There is easy access to the centre of the city by a 15 minute walk or 3 minutes on the bus which passes the front door. Our Private enclosed car park allows you to forget the problem of parking and really relax.
Apart from our full compliment of bedrooms, there is a spacious and comfortable 'Residents Lounge' where you can relax, watch television or enjoy a drink from the 'Butlers Pantry' courtesy of our residential licence. Tea and coffee are also served throughout the day in the lounge.
Delicious Traditional and Vegetarian Breakfasts are served to you in our attractive Dining room. Continental options are also available from our buffet with generous portions to start your day. The dining room is also a no smoking area. Ascot House stands next to public gardens with two tennis courts and two fine bowling greens, There is a nearby pub offering good food, and also within walking distance are an excellent range of restaurants we can personally recommend to suit all palates and pockets, as well as theatres and wine bars. There are a variety of different events happening all year round.
