We are rated 4 star Enjoy England and are situated in our own grounds on the edge of the village of Cotehill, in the lovely Eden Valley six miles from the historic and ancient City of Carlisle. We are only 10 minutes drive from Junction 42 on the M6 and 15 minutes from the A69 Newcastle/Carlisle trunk road.
This puts us in an ideal position for an overnight stay for anyone going to and from Scotland and England as the Anglo-Scottish Border is only a dozen miles away. Likewise for anyone traveling to Northern Ireland, The Borders or North East England.

Whether you are just passing through, for business/travel reasons or are staying for a longer period to take advantage of the area you will be ensured of a warm welcome and a comfortable stay in our charming en-suite bedooms which supply free, wireless broadband access as well as the usual requirements.

Breakfast: A full breakfast is served Full English (fresh Fresh fruit salad,cereal,eggs,bacon,genuine Cumberland Sausage,mushrooms,Black Pudding,beans,tomato, toast,marmalade/jam/ woodland honey,waffles.Also vegetarian.

Driving Directions: Leave the M6 at Junction 42. Take the B6263 (signposted Wetheral) for 1 mile to the village of Cumwhinton, turn right at junction to Cotehill(2 miles)We are just through the village

Local Area Attractions: The ancient City of Carlisle with the still used Castle and Cathedral (bastion of the Anglo/Scottish Border),Nixon,Armstrong, Graham,Johnstone,etc Country(Border Raiding Clans), The World Heritage Hadrian's Wall,The Eden Valley,The Lake District (Wordsworth,Ruskin, Beatrice Potter, Fletcher Christian, etc)Southern Scotland (Burns,Carlyle,Walter Scott, Robert the Bruce, etc), The Pennine Hills and The Settle-Carlisle Railway (sometimes The Orient Express runs on it. Plenty of pubs and restaraunts within a 4 mile radius. Plenty of golf courses in easy reach including two championship open qualifying courses

Onsite Activities: Peace and quiet, lovely views,angling,nature walks with Red Squirrel and Deer in adjacent forest
