Lalor Lodge - Guesthouse is on the Great Ocean Road in the rural area of Apollo Bay. We offer a relaxing stay for tourists wanting a one or two night stop over before travelling further along the ocean road. We are pleased to provide guests with information on interesting places to visit whilst in the area so that they gain the most from their visit. Chat,read a book, soak in the spa, enjoy local walks, visit the wonders of the Otways, listen to the sounds of the bush, relax on the veranda with a glass of wine, sit by the warm fires. All bedrooms have King Double (or King Twin Single) beds and ensuite. The large lounge areas are warmed by two enclosed wood fires. A full cooked breakfast is enjoyed in the dining area and for those wishing to remain in for dinner there is a daily dinner menu.

Driving Directions: When arriving in Apollo Bay (from Melbourne) the Information Centre is on your left as you enter the shopping centre. We are exactly 4.7kms from there. Drive through the shopping area then further along the Great Ocean Road, past Marengo up a slight rise and we are on you right. You will see our property with two blue boards with a white cross sitting low on the drive. Drive in past our home and down to the Lodge and we should be there to greet you.

Local Area Attractions: Apollo Bay has beautiful beach areas, 300 year old trees at Maits Rest, see the township backed by the ocean from Marinner's lookout, visit the oldest lighthouse in Australia, walk along the Otway Fly, see the history of the area at the Historical Museum, take the Great Ocean Walk and experience the ocean and the trees.

Onsite Activities: We often have visits from the bird life of the area - King Parrots, Kookaburras, Superb Fairy Wren, the Yabbies when in season, and the occassional visits from the wallabies.

Seasonal Info: Wonderful in winter by the warm fires and in summer we are close to the Marengo Beach
