Pleasant Bay is where people go to get a close up view of the pilot whales and many other types of whales and marine life. The Bay is a feeding ground for the beautiful black whales. They appear to be very comfortable among the fisherman and whale tour boats. I have seen the adult whales have a nap in a logging format while the young went off to play! They often rub up against the boat to scratch their backs and they often play and show off their excellent diving skills to tourists and locals alike.
