ReviewsAbsolutely Magical!
Date of Stay: 2009-10-01 I stayed at the Enchanted Realm B&B for a romantic weekend with my partner for the last week of the KC Ren Faire and I have to say, if you are in Kansas City for any reason at all and want to make a romantic day or weekend out of it you will not regret driving the extra hour out of KC to stay here. Tami, the owner, and her friend Mona who helps out are wonderful ladies with great energy. The rooms are beautiful, the food is to die for and the two-person tub in the Nature’s Niche room we stayed in was so relaxing. Sitting by the fireplace in a tub surrounded by candles, sipping wine, listening to a CD of Native American pipe music, propped up against my Honey in the warm, soothing water, life does not get better than that.
Because I eat seafood but no other meat, Tami came up with delicious, innovative breakfast dishes for us. Shrimp and spinach quiche, fruit with lemon liquor and pecan twists one morning. Crab crepes with hollandaise, pumpkin crème brule (Divine!) and fruit with cream the next. Breakfast was abundant, beautifully presented and very tasty.
Tami also offers massage, a great addition to a romantic evening. I do not get massages often because I am very particular but the hot stone massage was the best I have ever had. Her energy and skill are amazing. Even if you are someone who does not generally go for massages, try this, it is worth it. My partner had a regular massage and raved about it too so if you don’t enjoy hot stones, at least get a standard massage. She is great.
All in all our weekend at Enchanted Realm was just that, enchanting. It is the perfect place to relax, escape and reconnect with the one you love.
