The district of Arcos has almost unlimited countryside attractions, such as, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding as well as hang-gliding and para-gliding. The centre of Arcos and the surrounding streets are full of taverns, bars and restaurants where one can savour local dishes and, especially, local wine. During the summer these establishments are augmented by marquees erected in the market area for concerts and all forms of entertainment.
