This beautiful house was built in 1932 by John Sobotta, a prominent Mount Airy businessman and furniture factory owner. His home has been lovingly restored as an elegant, yet comfortable, bed and breakfast with an eclectic mix of antiques, sumptuous fabrics, fine linens and beautiful gardens.

The grand foyer and parlor have been richly decorated in an elegant, yet warm and inviting manner. Step through the front entry of this Tudor Revival mansion and see the unique Italian marble fireplace, ten foot tall ceilings, and a magnificent staircase surrounded by hand carved black walnut walls.

Sink into one of the comfortable down chairs and relax in the red gentlemen's parlor stocked with books and a variety of magazines. A game table awaits you for a challenging game of chess or cards.

The wide porch overlooks the original terraced gardens, which features a columned pergola. From here you can catch the mountain breezes blowing up from the Blue Ridge Mountains or watch the spectacular sunsets against the Carolina blue sky. There are plenty of chairs available to relax.

Driving Directions: From the Greensboro Area Take I-40 to Hwy 52 north to the Hwy 89 exit and turn right at the bottom of the ramp, travel 1/2 mile inn is on the right just past South Street. From the Raleigh/Durham Area Take 85 to 40 West to 52 North to Mount Airy, take the Hwy 89 exit and turn a right bottom of the exit ramp, we are 1/2 mile on the right. From the Charlotte/Concord Area Take I-77 north to exit 100 and turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp and travel east 9.2 miles the inn is on the right just past the light at South Street. From Areas North Take I-77 south to the Mount Airy exit, turn right onto Hwy 89 approximately 9.2 miles the Inn is on the right
