"The original Oak Bay Beach Hotel was built in 1927, but sadly just three years later, on October 14, 1930, a fire completely destroyed that building. Today's hotel is an exact replica of the original and was built on the ashes and tradition of the old. Since its rebirth in 1930, the hotel has undergone continued upgrading and modernization, while retaining the elegance and charm of a bygone era.With all its comforts and Olde World charm, one of the most impressive features of the hotel is its location. Several of our 49 individually unique rooms boast one of a kind antiques, fireplaces, oversized soaker tubs, and spectacular views of the hotel’s gardens set against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean and Washington State’s imposing Mount Baker.
