Welcome to Butler's Choice Bed and Breakfast on Trutch Street. Please feel free to browse through this page, and if you wish to make a reservation or have any questions please feel free to contact us. The Butlers Choice is a turn of the century, 1906 Edwardian home located on a quiet residential street lined with cherry trees. The street is named after Sir Joseph Trutch, the first Lieutenant Governor of the Province of British Columbia. We are sitting on a parcel of what used to be 10 acres surrounding his house. The house features rich woodwork, stained glass windows, three wood burning fire places, antiques, and a private sunroom and trellised back yard. We are two minutes to Craigdarroch Castle and Government House with its extensive gardens, as well as the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. We are five minutes to the Inner Harbor, Empress Hotel, Royal British Columbia Museum, and U.S. ferries. We are a ten minute walk to the International Award Beacon Hill Park which is one of the oldest parks in Canada. As an alternative to walking or driving our beautiful horse drawn carriages will pick you up at the front door. From the park you can see the Olympic Mountains and the Juan de Fuca Straight. Vis it our famous Butchard Gardens using the convenience of tour buses that leave every hour from the Empress Hotel.Let us book your whale watching tours or your appointment for high tea at one of the many delightful spots Victoria has to offer.
