River Gate Inn  

"River Gate Inn is situated on the Assiniboine River in the heart of the City on an acre of park like grounds. The Inn is centrally located, minutes from downtown Winnipeg. Located in historic Armstrong Point on an acre along the Assiniboine River. It features some of the City's largest Elm and Cotton Wood trees which surround a large heated swimming pool for guests to enjoy. Built in 1919, River Gate is a 21-room mansion and includes a parlor with fire place, library, formal dining room, sun room and billiard room. The Inn features king, queen and double rooms with cable television, modernized ensuites and jazucci tubs while still maintaining turn of the century charm. Feature breakfasts are included and can be enjoyed in the formal dining room or the sunporch, both over looking the pool and river area. Complimentary coffee/tea is available 24 hours. Armstrong Point provides a beautiful setting for business or vacation travelers. Spend time enjoying the Inn, relaxing, jogging, walking or cycling in the historic area. Groups are welcome. Cancellation Policy: 48 hours

Breakfast: Breakfast is between 9-10 on weekends and holidays. Other arrangements can be made. Breakfasts are full, hot and very tasty and vary daily.

Driving Directions: Turn South onto Furby from Broadway (#1 Highway). Follow it completely down - it will turn into Middle Gate. We are located at the corner of Middle Gate, East Gate and Westgate.

Local Area Attractions: Close to parks,river, historic Forks area, downtown, shopping, restaurants, pubs, airport...very central location.

Onsite Activities: Outdoor heated pool, pool table, games, library, internet (wireless and desktop), river skating - skiing - snowshoeing, bird watching.
