Halifax's Waverley Inn  

"Welcome to the Waverley...Our historic downtown Inn offers comfortable guest rooms with ensuite, and a few special rooms include jacuzzi tubs. In operation since 1876 we have hosted the likes of P.T. Barnum, Oscar Wilde and even one of the Vanderbildts made a short visit. A Waverley-style morning breakfast includes our fresh baked croissants and muffins, juice, tea and coffee, cereals and granola, fresh fruit,bagels and spreads plus more. Afternoon and evening tea, coffee and snacks(cakes,cookies etc.) is complimentary and available daily in our hospitality suite - The Friendship Room. Guests often return from a day of exploring local shops, galleries and museums and converge in the Friendship Room to relax and refresh while chatting about the days events. The Waverley has many fine attributes but many of our guest's tell us they return for the charm, at home ambiance,wonderful collection of Victorian antiques,and the limitless supply of warm hospitality."
