"Stouffer Mill Bed & Breakfast Getaway is located in the Haliburton Highlands midway between Minden & Dorset. Our home is a unique, 12-sided, circular post & beam structure with suspended rooms and furnished with antiques throughout. Our 3 guest rooms all have private baths and patio doors to private decks. Our roof-top solarium with 360o panoramic view and hot tub soothes and relaxes you for that perfect night's rest. The guest gathering room with cosy fireplace, and the peace and quiet, makes Stouffer Mill the perfect spot for that romantic getaway or weekend escape.
Enjoy a refreshing swim while your steaks are sizzling on the pool deck barbecue and afterwards gather around the campfire. Stouffer Mill offers most of the amenities of a larger resort but affords the intimacy and attention that only a bed & breakfast can offer. Our guests can roam our 136 acre forest estate, marvel at the cliff top panoramic view of the wetlands, or the wildlife at the 10 acre active beaver pond, all on our year-round 4.5 Km nature trails. There are complimentary walking sticks for the spring, summer & fall and snowshoes for the winter and of course a trail map. (see the ""trail map"" page) For those avid cross-country skiers, there is 22 Km's of groomed trails 10 minutes up the road at the Frost Centre.
Stouffer Mill Bed & Breakfast Getaway provides four season vacation accommodations in the Haliburton Highlands, minutes from Haliburton, Minden, Dorset, Algonquin Park and the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife providing wilderness trails and tours, hiking, ecotourism, canoeing, cycling, nordic skiing, snowshoeing and nature trails. Experience the phenomenal wolf howl or the Walk in the Clouds canopy walk or visit the wolf centre at the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve. A submarine excursion and an astronomy observatory are recent additions to the many activities provided by the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife. Algonquin Park, only 40 minutes from Stouffer Mill, offers the ultimate in trails, canoe trips, photography, moose sightings, fall colors and nature activities.
