This Landmark property was built as a private home in 1824 by Captain Duncan Milloy of Oban, Scotland. A devastating fire on Christmas Day 1992 completely destroyed the property leaving only the foundation. Re-created as an exact replica of the former Inn, The Oban Inn again opened its doors in November of 1993 welcoming guests back to its grace and understated charm while proudly continuing the tradition of unparalleled hospitality. Follow the I-190 N (I-190 ends at the Lewiston/Queenston Bridge). Once past the customs booth get into the right lane to pay the bridge toll. Immediately after the toll (approx. 20 ft), make a right turn followed by a left turn at the stop sign and then the next right. Follow the Niagara River Parkway, (Niagara River is along the right side), all the way into downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake (approximately 8 km of long winding road). Arriving on the main street of town. Take the main street through the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and turn right on Gate Street (follow to the end). The Main entrance to the hotel is located on your left hand side.
