"Housed in an 1882 building facing the port, this romantic luxury inn has an accomplished cellar restaurant, Les Remparts. Polished hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, massive beams, and the original windows define the hideaway bedrooms. Fifteen rooms face the waterfront and 22 have whirlpool baths. CD players are standard (with a selection of disks available at the main desk). All rooms are nonsmoking. The three suitelike ""lofts"" have kitchenettes. Drinks and sandwiches are served on the rooftop terrace, which has unobstructed views of the Vieux-Port, a particular treat when fireworks are scheduled over the river" |
