"Built in 1830, this stately residence in Anglo-Palladian style had long been one of the luxurious private mansions built at the turn of the century, with outstanding proprietors such as Collin McCallum and Vesey Boswell, very famous master brewers of the time.Converted into a hotel in 1967, its unique inner architecture was kept, along with a beautifully sculpted wooden staircase and a few authentic stained-glass windows. The mansion overlooks the Dufferin terrace, located between the Citadelle and the Château Frontenac.
