"Alaska's Treehouse Bed and Breakfast is located two hours south of Anchorage on the eastern Kenai Peninsula. Nestled in two acres of towering spruce and hemlock at the base of the 5,000-foot Chugach Mountains, the Treehouse offers lodging with outstanding views of Hearth Mountain and Mount Alice with their hanging glaciers. Forest trails invite you to stroll and relax, yet you are only minutes from the activities of Seward. The Treehouse specializes in catering to the adventuresome traveler who prefers a multiple-night stay in order to truly explore this beautiful area. Alaska's Treehouse Bed and Breakfast is a very unique wood-crafter's home that focuses on comfort. The vaulted cedar ceilings, skylights, solarium (where your breakfast is served), and intricate, curved deck railings reflect the artisan's skill. Antiques and Alaskan art add further interest. Guest rooms are large and inviting with queen-sized beds, fresh new linens, an ample supply of Alaskan reading material, and cable TV/VCR with Alaskan videos. The Suite can sleep five guests and includes a private entrance, private bath with hand-tiled shower, and a sitting room or second bedroom. The Forest Room sleeps two and offers a peaceful view into the National Forest, as does the little Loft Room just next door. The Loft Room is only rented together with the Forest Room and offers a double bed and a single loft bed...perfect for the kids! These two accommodations share a bath which is unique with its skylight and custom wildflower tile work by a local artist. You are invited to relax in the large hot tub on the multi-level deck surrounded by evergreens, to curl up in the solarium with a book, or to make music on the grand piano. Hot sourdough pancakes, herbed scrambled eggs with warm cinnamon bread, or buttermilk waffles topped with warm sauces made from the many wild berries your hosts pick on the Kenai are standard breakfast fare. Fruit juice; parfaits of fresh fruit, homemade granola, and yogurt; and coffee and tea complete the menu. Hiking and walking trails begin a few feet from the Inn's door and may lead to sightings of moose, porcupine, and a variety of birds, including bald eagles. Fishing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, birding, and biking are just a few of the many activities available during your stay in Seward. The bed and breakfast is just minutes from the Small Boat Harbor with its charter fishing boats and Kenai Fjords tour boats. Exit Glacier, an extremely popular attraction for hikers and photographers, is also close at hand. Art galleries, fine dining, and a visit to the Alaska SeaLife Center round out your Seward experience. Your hosts are happy to recommend tours of the fjords and book them at no added charge to you. "As outdoor enthusiasts, we are delighted to share our love and knowledge of the Kenai Peninsula and want to make your stay at the Treehouse Bed and Breakfast a highlight of your Alaskan adventure." ...
