The local train station is a short, two-block walk from the Inn. Union Station, in the heart of downtown L.A., is just a 20 minute ride. Once there, connections can be made for destinations throughout the Los Angeles area. Enjoy L.A., then return to the peace, quite, and safety of a beautiful old residential neighborhood. The Artists' Inn is also just minutes from Old Town Pasadena , the area's premier shopping and dining district, offering an exciting selection of bistros, sidewalk cafes, theaters and specialty shops. It's just two or three stops away via the Metro's shiny new Gold Line. From the Inn, you can also easily visit the Pasadena Playhouse, the Rose Bowl, Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens, and the Norton Simon Museum, to name just a few unforgettable destinations. The Cottage Behind this beautiful, rose-covered trellis and white picket fence is our cottage with two guests rooms and three suites with fireplaces, canopy beds, and Jacuzzis. The cottage is located just across the courtyard from the main house. Each of the uniquely decorated rooms is inspired by an individual artist¡ªDegas, Georgia O'Keeffe, Gauguin, Grandma Moses¡ªor by an artistic period, as with our Expressionist Suite. Guests in the Cottage are invited to enjoy the common areas of the main house as well as their rooms in the cottage¡ªcome over for early morning coffee, available at 7:00am, and read the daily newspaper in the parlor, or on the front porch where you might catch a glimpse of the feral parrots common throughout the San Gabriel Valley. In the afternoon, relax with a cup of tea and special, homemade, teatime treats.
