The Cornwall Inn  

"Country charm and warm hospitality await you for your stay at The Cornwall Inn. This historic inn, circa 1821, and serving as an inn since 1871, is located on scenic Route 7 in Cornwall Bridge, Connecticut. This is an ideal year-round retreat for guests who seek an intimate atmosphere in the spirit and style of old New England. The property, over three acres, is bordered by a rambling New England stream, native stone walls, and Preservation Trust land, lending to a peaceful and tranquil stay. There are six guest rooms and five baths located on the second floor of the Inn, each with comfortable furnishings and tasteful art. Additionally there is a country lodge containing eight rooms with private baths. This rustic ambiance is accented by white cedar post beds and furniture traditionally found in mountain lodges. All of the accommodations on the property have down comforters, feather beds, fine linens, and air conditioning in season. Remote controlled cable color television, direct dial telephones, and data ports are in each room. VCR's are available, and there is an outdoor pool for use in season. Conveniently located on the first floor of the Inn is the restaurant, with two dining rooms, and the Tavern. The Inn is exceptional for weddings and anniversaries (up to 100 people), family celebrations, business retreats & meetings, graduations, and spontaneous gatherings, all of which are greatly enhanced in this setting. The Cornwall Inn is convenient to area private schools, Mohawk Mountain & State Park, Lime Rock Race Track, Housatonic River, Sharon Playhouse, Appalachian Trail, Music Mountain, and Kent Falls State Park. Our location is convenient to New York City (a two hour drive), Hartford (a one hour drive, while Boston is two and one half hours away.
