Sycamore Knoll is a lovely historic Bed and Breakfast in rural Noblesville, Indiana on the White River. The peaceful country setting makes it a perfect weekend getaway spot for anyone stressed out by the city. It is convenient to US 37, and only a few miles from local attractions such as Conner Prairie and the Verizon Music Center . It's a one-mile drive into downtown Noblesville , a charming small town featuring many antique shops and fine restaurants. Indianapolis is an easy 15-minute drive away as well. The property is situated on a gentle hill just across from the White River, on a 4-acre beautifully landscaped estate featuring an orchard, a large deck and patio area, and shady mature trees with lots of peace and quiet for naps and meditation. About the Rooms Being travel enthusiasts ourselves, we know how important it is to have a comfortable bed to sleep in, so all of our rooms have the best in bedding and linens. No lumpy hotel beds or scratchy sheets here! You'll enjoy luxurious pillow-top mattresses with firm support, 100% cotton sheets, and cozy quilts and comforters, as well as comfy bathrobes and thick fluffy towels. Many guests have commented that our mattresses are actually more comfortable than the ones they have at home! Each room is furnished with oak Mission-style furniture typical of the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century, with sturdy straight lines and craftsman-quality construction. We have a passion for this style of furnishings, and it shows throughout the entire house. The Orchard Suite is an extra-large room with a lovely floor-to-ceiling bay window. It has a queen-size bed and its own private bath with tub and shower. It is $95 a night. For families and friends traveling together, the Orchard Suite has an optional extra bedroom with double (full) bed available for $65 a night which shares the Orchard Suite's bath. The Hospitality Suite features a queen-size bed and an attached bathroom with a whirlpool garden tub perfect for soaking the day's tensions away. It is $95 a night. Yes, all rooms are air-conditioned! In the fall and spring, the rooms are the most comfortable with all the windows wide-open, but in the summer you'll appreciate the cool, humidity-free AC environment. And for wintertime, we have quiet, comfortable hot water baseboard heat. Guest Comforts Indoors, there's a TV lounge with satellite TV including lots of movie channels. Settle in for your favorite film. Or, if you're more interested in just getting away from it all, check out the library , where you'll find hundreds of books, comfortable leather chairs for napping or reading, and an antique Mission-style writing desk for catching up on your correspondence. Do you get hungry in the evenings? Let our hosts make you some popcorn to go with that movie. We can also bake up some chocolate chip cookies with a little advance notice. Complementary tea, coffee, and soft drinks are available throughout the day, and there is a guest refrigerator for chilling any beverages you might want to bring along yourself. For breakfast, you can choose a light meal of gourmet coffee, juice, and muffins, or ask our resident chef for a full-sized breakfast that will keep you satisfied well into the noonday. Buttermilk biscuits are a house specialty, great either with sausage gravy or just a little butter and strawberry jam. Orange pecan French toast is another favorite.
