This gracious old Southern home was skillfully restored with its breathtaking three-story oval spiral staircase, twelve and thirteen foot ceilings, wide plank yellow poplar and ash floors throughout. There are antique furnishings and a fireplace in every room. This is the type of setting that inspired Stephen Foster to sing about his "Old Kentucky Home". Winding up the spiral staircase, past the beautiful stained glass window (original to the mansion home), you enter a 38-foot long sitting room. This is a splendid gathering place for guests to visit, relax, or enjoy the view from the balcony. Four guestrooms open off this lovely common room. You will love your stay at Rosemark Haven, surrounded by the grace and elegance of a bygone era! |
