The Bishop's House is a landmark of Talbot County, conveniently located within 10 miles of Oxford and St. Michaels. Located in the heart of Easton, Maryland (rated the 8 th Best Small Town in America), the Bishop's House is within walking distance of the historic and picturesque Town Center, art galleries, museums, specialty and antique shops, and casual and gourmet restaurants offering the best local cuisine. The Bishop's House is situated on a large landscaped, shaded lot among other stately homes on a quiet tree-lined street and offers an atmosphere of warmth, tranquility, and elegance. Accommodations are large rooms where lovingly created details such as antique furnishings are complemented with modern conveniences. The Bishop's House offers the amenities normally found in much larger properties coupled with the personal attention found only in the very best bed and breakfasts. All five guest room accommodations have Private Baths, Cable TV, Clock Radio, CD Player, Phone Jack for modem hook-up, Ceiling Fan, a Guest Robe, Luxurious 500, 600,r 800 or 1000 thread count bed linens, Down Comforters, (in season), Ironing Board, Hair Dryer, and individually controlled air conditioning. Second Floor guest rooms have Working Fireplaces and four guest rooms have Whirlpool Tubs. Cable TV/VCR, outgoing fax machine, telephone, and laptop computer are available in the Small Drawing Room on the first floor, where guests may also choose from a video library and an eclectic selection of books. Two of the first floor common rooms have gas log fireplaces and complimentary high speed wireless connection is available throughout the house. A third floor sitting room is available to guests complete with Cable TV/DVD &VCR Player, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, coffee and a selection of teas, hot chocolate, sodas and snacks. A Garden Courtyard was added in the fall of 2004 with an above-ground fishpond. On site Private off-street parking, secured bicycle storage, bicycle rentals, and take-away cycling maps are available to guests.
