76 Main Street offers one of the finest locations for enjoying Nantucket Island. The Inn is regally set in the company of other mansions along the cobblestoned portion of Nantucket's main street. Within a few steps, you'll find yourself in the delightfully busy Nantucket town center, with its many shops and attractions. The Inn was built in 1883 as a home for Captain William Swain and has been welcoming guests for more than fifty years.
Among the Inn's many delights are the front entryway and parlor (click to enlarge all photos), where you can read and relax at your leisure. A fire is often burning in cooler weather, and in warmer weather the inn is entirely air conditioned.
Enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast of coffee, muffins, breads, fruit and cereal in our breakfast room. Our patio is a quiet, pleasant space to relax and read, and is particularly enjoyable when the cherry trees are in bloom. Other guest amenities include private baths and color cable television in each room. We also now offer free, wireless internet throughout the inn. |
