The Perfect Location Snyder's Shoreline Inn is located at Lake Michigan (see how close to the beach we are when you browse the Harbor Cam or look at the Bird's Eye View page!) at the west end of Ludington Avenue at Lake Michigan and a few short blocks from the downtown business district, with easy access to shopping, dining and the cross-lake carferry service. Across the avenue at Stearns Park is a half mile of white sand beach with shuffleboard courts, mini-golf, concession stands and a picnic area. Panoramic views of Ludington's deepwater harbor and a historic lighthouse are shared by all lakefront rooms at the Inn. Enjoy life on the water, watching freighters, the carferry and every kind of leisure craft sailing in and out of the harbor. So Much to See and Do Shopping This lakefront community has a rich bounty of antique shops , craft stores, gift shops, art galleries and local confectioners . Lake Michigan provides the perfect balance for plentiful local harvests of fruits and vegetables during the summer through late fall. These harvests are readily available at nearby farm markets or ask our innkeeper for directions to a local "pick your own" blueberry patch. Dining Call in advance to have a dinner reservation made for you at one of our local dining establishments. Area specialties include fresh lake fish, coffee shops, bakeries and ice cream parlors. Allow us to recommend Scotty's, Jamesport Brewing Company , Emerson Lake Inn, Lannigans, le Serving Spoon, Chef John's European Bakery, Luciano's, PM Steamer's , House of Flavors and Old Hamlin restaurants. Ludington State Park The "Queen" of Michigan's State Parks is only five miles from us, with a beach on Lake Michigan and another on Hamlin Lake. The park has several picnic areas, and hiking and biking trails. Rent a boat, canoe or pontoon and fish for walleye, bass, pike or muskie in Hamlin Lake. Special Amenities Enjoy our morning coffee room . We also have a lending library including videos and books on tape available for your reading, viewing and listening pleasure. Our outdoor pool and spa are open every day from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m, Memorial Day to Labor Day. For special occasions, we're happy to arrange to have flowers in your room upon arrival or a wine/cheese/fruit basket .
