"Dexter's Inn is a special country resort-inn, blessed with an idyllic setting on a 20-acre estate, in the lovely and unhurried Lake Sunapee region. Our hilltop location, which features magnificent views of Lake Sunapee, Mount Sunapee and the surrounding countryside, provides a private, peaceful and relaxing backdrop for your visit. Shopping and cultural activities are also available nearby. And, we are conveniently located just 90 minutes from Boston, 30 minutes from Dartmouth College and 15 minutes from Colby-Sawyer College. All of our guest rooms are warm, welcoming and comfortable. Each guest room has a private bathroom and each is unique in size and decoration. Children are welcome at Dexter's Inn with the understanding that the parents are responsible for their children's behavior at all times. With sufficient advance notice, babysitting can be arranged. Pets are welcome at Dexter's Inn in some rooms by special advance arrangement with the understanding that the owners are responsible for their pet's behavior at all times and are responsible for any damages that occur. A full buffet breakfast is included with each stay. We do not serve lunch or dinner at the Inn at this time, but guests are welcome to consume their own food in our dining room, tavern room, courtyard, or picnic areas. Also, we are happy to make reservations for you at one of the local restaurants. In terms of alcoholic beverages, we are a "bring your own" establishment. If you so desire, you may bring the alcoholic beverage of your choice and consume it responsibly in either our common areas or in your private room. We can provide you with glasses, ice and openers.
