The Beacon House Inn is a reminder of days gone by, an original 1950's Boarding House. We've updated it with modern day comforts but have left much of the original charm throughout. The walls are lined with vintage photographs and memorabilia and our decor is meant to be comfortable and enjoyed! We won't try to take you back in time, but rather remind you of when life was simpler with hopes that this will inspire a very relaxing stay at the Inn. Leave the frenzy behind, roll up on the couch, or relax on one of our three decks while embracing the need to do nothing-or everything-it's really your choice! In addition to friendly, hospitable service, we offer full southern breakfasts, comfortable beds, quality linens, beach chairs/umbrellas, local discounts and private catering or Package Plans for your special events. Whether it's a romantic dinner, pig roast, or group meal: we will design a package that fits your needs. Remember that in addition to our Bed & Breakfast lodging accommodations, we also offer Cottages and Multiple Building rental packages, making us a great choice for a family reunion, corporate outing or group gathering of any kind. LOCATION: Carolina Beach, one of North Carolina's best beaches, boasts 5 miles of pristine beach, and is close enough to easily enjoy historic Wilmington, Fort Fisher, the North Carolina Aquarium, Southport and Bald Head Island. Although we are just across the street from the Beach, we are surrounded by other endless outdoor activities including fishing, golf, sailing, surfing, kayaking and bird watching. We're in the heart of Carolina Beach, NC just 7 blocks from the Boardwalk and center of town. We're 20 minutes from the Wilmington Airport and not far from others such as Myrtle Beach, Jacksonville, and Raleigh-Durham. Let us know where you're coming from and we can provide you with directions. Your Innkeepers are Jacki Brown Clark and Dan Plomaritis. The two spent the last 3 years managing The Ocean Princess, a former Bed and Breakfast located here on the island in Kure Beach. They are full of local lore and know all of the shortcuts around the island, so be sure to ask! While Jacki has a background in Property Management and Marketing, her true love is writing (and Innkeeping, of course!). She has published several short stories and is currently working on both a novel and a film in her spare time. Dan spends much of his time in the kitchen perfecting all of his delicious recipes! He handles most of our breakfasts and just about any other project we throw his way. He has attended Culinary School in Chicago and will be happy to whip up any special requests.
