Armstrong and his wife, Inez, and son, George, owned and operated the mill on West Xenia Drive for many years. Long after the house was first built in 1920 the Armstrongs added a full second story, a small cottage and a carriage house on the property that Inez often referred to as the "Mill Pond Acre" This is a beautiful acre of land located within the city limits and walking distance to all the shops and cafes of Fairborn. We are located only 2.5 miles from the main headquarters gates of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and just six miles to the Air Force Museum. You have your choice of accommodations, the main house or the cottage. Three rooms in the main house,one with private bath and antique furnishings along with contemporary amenities such as cable TV, data ports, and central A/C. The cottage has been completely restored and furnished with many collectables of your innkeeper. Very private and secluded in a wooded setting with all the above amenities including a refrigerator stocked with adult beverages. |
