"A Four Diamond Rated Northwest Ohio Bed and Breakfast Georgian Manor Inn - A very elegant, yet warm and gracious 9000 sq. ft. stately mansion, exquisitely decorated...... Georgian Manor Inn - B&B graciously rests on 1.4 well manicured acres of Norwalk's tree lined, architecturally rich Historic West Main Street . Easy walking to historic uptown specialty shops, antiques, Day Spa and restaurants. Highly rated! In 2006 received its sixth ""Four Diamond Award"" from AAA and one of only ten lodgings in Ohio to receive the award.

Recognized as a premier bed and breakfast, the Georgian Manor Inn has been featured on the cover page of August 2002 ""Ohio Magazine"" and in its article ""Garden Getaways"". Also featured live on Channel 5 TV's ""Good Morning Cleveland"" and in the February 1999 issue of ""Ohio Magazine"" - ""Winter Retreats"". With four well appointed guest rooms( all with private baths), five public rooms, two porches, two large patios and wonderful gardens, the Georgian Manor provides couples and small groups a tranquil and private escape for a romantic getaway, an anniversary, birthday, golfing getaway, a reunion of friends or other special occasions. A wonderful serene retreat for travelers visiting vacation hot spots in North Central Ohio and Lake Erie Islands Area including the popular Cedar Point Amusement Park , in Sandusky and Norwalk Raceway Park.
Built in 1906 by a local dentist and businessman, Georgian Manor is one of several prominent homes on West Main Street where summer walking tours are provided by the local historical society. After a year of complete restoration and the addition of private host quarters and additional bathrooms, the Inn opened in November 1996 with four spacious guest rooms (click here for room descriptions, rates and reservation info) . A small inn with the amenities of a large first class hotel has large well appointed rooms with fine antiques and reproduction furniture, lovely Victorian and nautical artwork in plush surroundings. Private and lighted off street parking with separate guest entrance. Five gorgeous public rooms provide a spacious ""House Atmosphere"" where couples or small groups of guests can enjoy the well stocked library, mahogany paneled dining room, overstuffed sofas and fireside chairs in the living room with oak mantled fireplace, and a wicker furnished sun porch overlooking the sandstone patio, pond and stream and lavish gardens. Ohio Magazine - August 2002 issue - Garden Getaways - Flower Beds Outside, guests can stroll the well manicured grounds and gardens with 14 flower beds with plantings of colorful perennial and annual flowers, roses and hostas. A focal point in the rear gardens is large formal center garden divided into quarters with a brick and stoned walkways traveling from the sandstone patio directly through the center garden to the 32 foot pergola backed by large douglas fir trees. Stoned walks also circle the rear property with a few benches set in room like areas. This area is the vacation hot spot in Ohio with many attractions and things to do and see including the voted number one amusement park on the planet, Cedar Point with 16 roller coasters, several other rides and live entertainment. Several of our guests have visited one or more of the Lake Erie Islands ( Kelleys Island or Put-In-Bay) via ferry boats departing from various spots along Lake Erie. If the Islands interests you, check out the Goodtime I which has daily cruises to both Islands departing from downtown Sandusky . If you have interests in auto racing, you may want to attend a drag race at one of the top drag parks in the country, Norwalk Raceway Park . For golfers, we have several golf courses in the area and a very good one, Eagle Creek Golf Club , located not more than ten minutes away and there's a nine hole course even closer. For the history buffs, we suggest a visit to our local Firelands Museum (an easy walk from us), President Hayes Center in Fremont or Thomas Edison's Birthplace in Milan.

There are three wineries within 45 minutes and one, Mon Ami has two restaurants. Once you've seen our stately homes, you'll want to take a walking tour of the Historic West Main Street District where periodically, summer guided walking tours are given by the local Firelands Historical Society. Many guests have also taken the 15 minute walk to the revitalized and historic uptown area with several unique shops including an Amish Oak and Lace store, an art gallery, a coffee shop, two jewelers, an antique mall, a florist shop (home decorating and Christmas items) and other unique shops. You deserve a massage and we have one ! A nice Day Spa in the Uptown area with a full floor dedicated to spa services. For those who wish to participate themselves, we have tennis courts available in the next block, biking trails in the area, bird watching at Ohio State preserves, the Marblehead Lighthouse , fishing, horseback riding and more. We have several brochures plus we can provide touring suggestions with ready made maps and on places to visit while in the area. And, you don't have to drive anywhere once you arrive as you can make use of five public rooms, two patios, porches, or read a book on a bench in the gardens. Let us assist you with options on things to do while you are here. Several attractions and many links are listed on a separate web page for you convenience.
