" Just a couple of blocks off the Lafayette College campus, this 1895 Georgian-style mansion, with it's sweeping wrap-around porch is ideal for sitting in the rocker and watching the world pass by. Or perhaps you would prefer to relax in the Adirondack chairs on the garden patio, next to the waterfall and fountain, and read that book you've been intending to finish. The eighteen rooms of The Lafayette Inn are appointed with antiques and each room has a private bath, some with whirlpools, soaking tubs, and oversized showers, some with fireplaces, and all with TV/VCR, air conditioning, and phones with dataports...for those who just can't fully escape! From 4-6 pm on Friday and Saturdays, enjoy our complimentary tasting of cheeses and beverages in the lounge. Whether visiting the colors of the Crayola Factory , the history of the mule-drawn canal boat rides, the sounds of Musikfest, State Theatre, or the Martin Guitar Factory tour, or just enjoying the romance of the Wine Trail and some of the best restaurants in the area, The Lafayette Inn is your home base as you plan the getaway itinerary that's best for you.
