This colonial inn is located just a quarter mile from the Ephrata Cloister in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, an area known for the Amish, Antiques, rolling hills and farm land, and quaint towns and shops. The innkeepers, Dave and Rebecca Gallagher, take historic charm and add a bit of modern comfort and convenience, to create a casual, homey feeling for their guests. Breakfast is always a treat and includes the Smithton’s signature granola, homemade yogurt, muffins and breads in addition to a delicious hot entrée. Each spacious guest room boasts a working fireplace and is decorated with hand-sewn Amish quilts, antique & hand crafted furniture. Modern conveniences include a flat screen TV with DVD player, clock radio with iPod docking station, and wireless internet access throughout the inn.
