The Gruber Homestead, nestled in the beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch countryside of historic Berks County, is minutes from Blue Marsh Recreation Area, offering hiking, biking and equestrian trails. The lake is open to the public for boating, fishing, and all kinds of water sports. Golf courses abound throughout the area. Other points of interest are the Blue Marsh Ski Area, Christmas Village, Mid-Atlantic Air Museum, Conrad Weiser Homestead, and the fine dining of the Stouch Tavern in Womeldorf. Reading, with its shopping, dining, and entertainment, is a short drive away. The Gruber Homestead is also an excellent base for day trips to points of interest throughout the counties of Berks, Lebanon, Lancaster, and beyond.
