Innkeepers Jody & Monica Friedel built this 3 room high quality inn which features hand milled long leaf pine floors, various stained glass windows, and the distinctive flavor of a fine Texas Country Inn. Martha's Cottage, a separate building with 2 units that can accommodate up to 6 persons, was added to the property in 2003 to better serve small groups and those guests who need kitchenette facilities.

Located within walking distance of the Gruene Historic District, guests may enjoy numerous activities including tubing, rafting, golfing, shopping, eating, and dancing in Gruene Hall (the oldest dance hall in Texas). Tour the Texas Hill Country where you can enjoy unique shops, restaurants, and wineries. Shop the nearby San Marcos factory outlet mall with over 100 stores or visit popular attractions such as Natural Bridge Caverns, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, or the famous San Antonio Riverwalk.
