"The Alpine Lodge at White Grizzly Adventures is located at the north end of Kootenay Lake, 2 1/2 hours from Rossland, 1?hours north of Nelson, 40 kilometres north of Kaslo, just outside the small mill town of Meadow Creek, BC, Canada. This is a wonderful log home-away-from-home for skiers and snowboarders in the winter, and is a bed and breakfast for guests in the summer. Accessible by vehicle year-round, and nestled in a secluded forest of larch, cedar and hemlock, the 3200 square foot lodge accommodates a maximum of twelve guests in five bedrooms, each room with a private bathroom. It is easily accessible from Highway 31. The elevation of the lodge is approximately 555 metres above sea level (1820 feet) so you can enjoy your vacation here without feeling winded. The large 'common room' living room is graced with a unique stone fireplace, and is a cozy central meeting place to make new friends, read magazines, play games and tell stories. The foosball table is often the centre of many friendly contests. The outdoor hot tub also provides a great way to relax at the end of the day. The Alpine Lodge at White Grizzly Adventures is also open in the summer months. Our B&B (bed and breakfast) style lodging service helps summer outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the area. Activities such as mountaineering, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, river rafting, glacier excursions, wildlife viewing, canoeing, kayaking, ATV tours, hot spring tours, and exploring old ghost mining towns are extremely popular in this area. The lack of crowds make the personal experience of nature here one you will not forget. Of course, the Alpine Lodge is home for guests of White Grizzly Adventures, the premier location in the Selkirk Mountains for steep, treed, deep powder terrain (located 20 km north of the lodge). Accessed by snowcat (a great alternative to heliskiing), you are guaranteed fresh tracks each and every day for guests of expert level ability only." |
