This Victorian style home has been designed to provide you with the utmost comfort and tranquility. The sprawling views (and the huge bed) will make you wish you booked your stay even longer!

When you stay at Bear Creek Retreat, you have the serenity of the whole house to yourself.

Luxuriously landscaped to capture all the beauty of Mother Nature. Spotting wildlife is guaranteed! Evenings on the porch are unforgettable! Star gazing while in the hot tub is breath-taking.

If the Texas weather keeps you inside, you can enjoy the plasma television with satellite (and every premium channel imaginable), a wood burning fireplace, or the therapeutic massage room. We also have a full kitchen, phone, fax and washer/dryer.

A fresh pot of coffee will be brewing for you when you wake. A hot breakfast will be delivered to your door at your requested hour. Juices and other complimentary beverages are stocked in the refrigerator.

Bear Creek Retreat is perfect for the couple who wants privacy, an entire family who wants to get out into the country, or a group of friends getting away together. The warmth of the home will capture your heart and have you coming back again and again.

Bear Creek Retreat is available for small retreats, reunions, and workshops. We believe the house has a special, restful energy and encourage small groups who want to come for a "re-charging".

Bear Creek Retreat is a Texas Bed and Breakfast where you enjoy the comfort of the whole house sleeping two to eight guests.

We are located just southwest of Austin, Texas, surrounded by the beautiful Hill Country, not even twenty minutes from downtown, Austin.

Cancellation Policy: No charge with a 72 hour notice

Pets are welcome. We have pets. We are wheelchair accessible. Children are welcome. We have children.

Breakfast: Weekend breakfast is a full Mexican breakfast with Migas, homemade salsa, and more. Weekday breakfast has a fresh fruit platter with homemade carrot cake muffins.

Driving Directions: From IH-35 South, exit Onion Creek Parkway/ FM 1626 (exit #225). Travel along the frontage road, then turn right onto FM 1626. Drive 3.8 miles and turn right at the 5th stop light (Bliss Spillar). Drive 1.3 miles and turn onto Carpenter Lane. We are at the end of Carpenter Lane.

Local Area Attractions: Most guests don't want to leave the house! If you must, Austin has everything you'd want, and more. The historical town of Buda is less than 10 minutes away. The famous Salt Lick Barbeque is a short jog into the country. If you have the desire to shop, the San Marcos Outlet mall is less than 1/2 hour away. Lady Bird Johnson's Wildflower Center is also close and worth experiencing.
