Nutmeg Country Inn  

"The Nutmeg Country Inn is located in the heart of Mount Snow Valley in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont. It sits along side the historic Molly Stark Trail and offers a picturesque example of an Early American Farmhouse with a Barn and Carriage House. Built in 1777, the Inn has retained many of its original architectural details including exposed beams, original tin ceilings, old doors, dormer ceilings and wood floors. As you enter the Inn, delightful aromas greet you, while your eyes are drawn to our beautiful interiors. Antique furnishings mixed with luscious fabrics create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Original period artwork mixed with botanical prints add a romantic feel to all the rooms. The common room invites you to relax and enjoy the crackling fire. Share tea and cookies with others or have a quiet spot in one of the comfortable chairs and sofas. Be prepared to have fun and play the many games, including Billiards and darts. We have 2.2 acres of lush gardens, green meadows and tree lined trails for your enjoyment. Relax in one of our Adirondack chairs while enjoying the song of birds and the sound of our lazy brook. The Fall colors are spectacular and when the snow starts to drift from the sky, our grounds turn into a winter wonderland! Enjoy a sumptuous breafkast of gourmet delights served daily in our three beautiful dining rooms. Delight in our chef prepared items such as Caramelized Pear French Toast with a Pear-Maple Reduction, Spinach and Feta Cheese Omelet with a Roasted Tomato Salsa, Buttermild Pancakes topped with seasonal fresh fruit or our daily specials designed around the bounty of our local farmers.
