The lovely Inn was built in 1802 and was known as Bloxom's Tavern, a hub of hospitality during the first half of the nineteenth century. The Garden and the Sea Inn sits peacefully on a quiet country lane, just 11 miles west of Virginia's barrier islands, Chincoteague and Assateague, home of the famous wild ponies and one of the most beautiful refuge beaches on the East Coast. The Garden and Sea Inn's guest rooms have all been designed and decorated to ensure our guests a unique lodging experience with emphasis on privacy, comfort and relaxation. The Inn features eight spacious guest rooms, each with luxurious private bath and most with whirlpools. All rooms are air conditioned and have televisions and refrigerators.
