" Mountain Valley Farm's location offers convenient access to the Washington/Baltimore area as well as to Charlottesville and Richmond. This enchanting farm of 180 acres, dating from 1800 is indeed the 'Best of the Blue Ridge' and today still makes a country atmosphere. You can enjoy an afternoon in a swing on the lovely front porch or rock the day away in one of the rocking chairs that face the Blue Ridge Mountains. Farm Rental Rates and Seasons Season Weekly Weekend Dec-Apr $1,450.00 $600.00 May-Nov $1,750.00 $700.00 Weekly rentals start Monday afternoon and end the following Monday morning. If you wish to rent the Cabin, as well, the rate is $80.00 per day. Daily room rentals available, $125 - $140 per night. A full house will sleep 11 visitors and the cabin will sleep three more. Check-in time 3:00 p.m. Check-out time 11:00 a.m. The family farm operates all year. About Mountain Valley Farm Cozy and convenient would describe this lovely restored farm house and cabin. Country charm defines the furnishings, with turn-of-the-century antiques, that grace the house. The main house has about 4,500 square feet in area. This house will welcome your family for the holiday's special occasions such as weddings, birthday celebrations and graduation from UVA in Charlottesville, VA. or JMU in Harrisonburg, VA. The first floor has a large living room with a gas fireplace. The parlor also has a gas fireplace and satellite TV plus a VCR for rented movies in case of snow or rain during your stay. Large dining room that will seat 14 for dinner, china and flat ware for your use. A cozy sun porch for relaxing with the local newspaper or a stolen nap. We have built a brand new kitchen that will seat the entire family for breakfast and lunch. Once you've experienced the peace and beauty of this retreat, you will want to return. Each season of the year will have its particular appeal!"
