was named in reference to the founding date of Switzerland and in the spirit of the founding fathers, who decided to 'do their own thing' and over the centuries took their tiny territory to grow into a full-fledged state by forging partnerships with those sharing a common interest.
Established in 1986 and based in New York City, 1291 International took up on that growth and partnership idea; the company is today a hospitality enterprise with affiliations in Canada, Europe, covering a wide range of services through its divisions.
