The Grove Inn is now part of the historic site of Alamo Square : Quoting San Francisco Book Of The Sam Francisco Visitors and Convention Center. The owners have been actively engaged in Historic Preservation since 1970.The Grove Inn has 18 comfortable guest rooms - many with private baths. All rooms feature queen, or pairs of twin beds. Optional trundle beds may be included in guest rooms. Two of the rooms can be connected to form a suite which can be accommodate from four to six persons. The Grove Inn is located six blocks directly west of the Civic Center home of City Hall, the Opera House, Davies Symphony Hall, the San Francisco Ballet, and the Museum of Modern Art. Driving Directions: Driving South (from Napa, Sausalito, Muir woods, etc.): After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge ($5 toll), take the 19th Avenue exit. Drive South on Park Presidio Drive. Turn Right on Cabrillo Street. Take an immediate left onto 14th Avenue. At the next street, turn left onto Fulton Street. Continue East until you reach Fillmore Street, then turn right onto Fillmore Street. Go one block - the Grove Inn is at the corner of Fillmore and Grove Streets. Driving North (from San Francisco International Airport, San Jose, etc.): Driving North on US101, follow the signs for the Golden Gate Bridge. At the Golden Gate Bridge / Fell Street split, take the Fell Street exit. Drive along Fell Street (up the hill) for six blocks then turn right onto Fillmore Street.
