Distinctive Bed and Breakfast accommodations located in the Richmond District, a quiet residential neighborhood just six blocks from Ocean Beach and three blocks from Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California. The two guest rooms have comfortable queen sized antique beds with cozy down comforters. Plush terry robes are provided. Curl up with one of the fascinating books about San Francisco's past or browse through the many brochures on San Francisco Bay Area attractions. Yes, there is a television with cable in each room and a DVD player if you wish to enjoy a movie. Our collection of old movies filmed in and around San Francisco is available on DVD. Need a midnight snack, there are always home made cookies in the cookie jar.
Our home is a non-smoking private residence.

Deposit for first night's stay must be received within 7 days of reservation.

If you have not advised your hostess of your anticipated check-in time, please contact her AT LEAST 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival.

For full refund a 14 day advance notice is required. There will be a one night charge for cancellations of less than 14 days.

Breakfast: Sit down to a delicious breakfast of muffins/croissants, home made granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and freshly brewed coffee. Decaf coffee or tea is available.

Driving Directions: From SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT, take 280 north, (becoming CA-1) toward 19th Avenue/Golden Gate Bridge; merge onto Junipero Serra Blvd, slight left onto 19th Avenue/CA 1; after about 2 ½ miles you will go through two large pillars into Golden Gate Park, stay in the far left lane to 25th Avenue, turn left onto Balboa St. and continue west to 42nd Avenue, turn right for ¾ of a block. From the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE, take the 19th Avenue exit to California Street, turn right and continue on to 42nd Avenue, turn left for 1 block. From the SAN FRANCISCO/OAKLAND BAY BRIDGE, merge onto US-101 North toward Mission Street. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto OCTAVIA STREET, turn LEFT onto FELL STREET. At Stanyan Street (Near Golden Gate Park) turn right and continue on to Fulton, make a left on Fulton, on 42nd Avenue make a right.

Local Area Attractions: Walk on the beach at sunset or enjoy a quiet dinner at the world famous Cliff House, over looking the Pacific Ocean. Be sure to visit Musee Mechanique, with the largest collection of antique penny arcade machines in the world and Camera Obscura, a life size, walk in camera. Just blocks away, with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, is the Palace of the Legion of Honor, an art museum and Lincoln Golf Course. There are many interesting restaurants within walking distance, check our menus. In nearby Golden Gate Park, enjoy Steinhart Aquarium and Hall of Sciences or explore the Strybing Arboretum and Botanical Gardens with its majestic Redwood trees. Relax in the simple beauty of the Japanese Tea Garden or ride on our elegantly restored carousel. Walk around Stow Lake or rent a pedal boat after visiting our buffalo paddock. Bicyclists and skaters can enjoy the park on Sundays when cars are restricted. Ride a painted pony at San Francisco Zoo, this carousel by master carver Marcus Illions is a classic. Horses can be rented nearby for sunset beach rides. Fort Funston with its magnificient ocean views is popular with hang gliders as well as hikers. The Presidio of San Francisco, one of our newest national parks was one of the most important military posts on the West Coast. Fort Point, a brick and granite fortress, built between 1853 - 1861 is tucked under the Golden Gate Bridge. The Presidio Visitor's Center offers information, maps and interesting walking tours and a free shuttle. Crissy Field, a former Army air field is a newly recreated tidal marsh. It is great for coastal bird watching, wetlands ecology and native plants. Visit the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary Visitor's Center at Crissy Field too.
