ESCAPE FROM IT ALL: The two-story Log House Homestead is rented as a unit. You have the entire Log House during your stay – an evening or a weekend. It’s your getaway choice – ideal for an anniversary, honeymoon, romantic weekend or any special occasion.
We offer seclusion in the country. You may want to cozy up in front of the stone fireplace. Others prefer to settle into the front porch rockers overlooking the pond. Some may like to bike or hike the scenic countryside. There is plenty to see or do at nearby attractions, museums, and shops – antique, craft, and specialty. At day’s end, relax in a Jacuzzi for two. Log House Homestead Bed & Breakfast is located in the Mid-Ohio Valley near Cairo, WV, next to North Bend State Park and the North Bend Rail Trail.

STEP BACK IN TIME: The massive hand-hewn logs and the wooden shingles remind guests of another time and place. Candlelit windows beckon you inside. Handcrafted doors, exposed ceiling beams and wide floorboards highlight this authentically constructed Log House. The style is early 1800’s with amenities of the 21st century. It’s like a museum where you can stay.

COME INSIDE: The main floor has a sitting area with fireplace, a dining table and a study corner. Upstairs, the Cherry Bedchamber has a queen sized poster bed while the Oak Chamber has a cannonball oak double bed and an antique three-quarter bed. Amenities include a luxurious tiled bath with shower and whirlpool tub. There is a kitchenette with an undercounter refrigerator, microwave, and dishes. A full, hearty breakfast is served each morning. The Log House is centrally heated and air-conditioned. Well-behaved children, 12 and older, are welcome. No TV or phone, but lots of books and games. This is a non-smoking facility. Your hosts are in their adjacent residence.
