The Chestnut Inn Bed & Breakfast is open year-round and is the perfect getaway destination for couples or families. Your children and pets are always welcome here! Our accommodations include two oversized Victorian bedrooms on the first floor, each with air-conditioning and a king-size bed. Other amenities include a spacious Victorian living room with cable TV. A continental breakfast is available. You may enjoy your breakfast in our large country kitchen or sit on the front porch caressed by ocean breezes.
Our shared bath with jet tub affords total relaxation. The huge chestnut tree in the enclosed back yard provides security and shade for your children and pets. The property adjoins a large playground with tennis and basketball courts along with soccer and baseball fields. Secure off street parking is provided for your convenience.

Directions: North:
From Boston follow Interstate 93 S to Rt. 24 S (Exit 4). Stay on Rt. 24 S, passing by Fall River, MA. Continue Southwest on Rt. 24S (go over the Sakonnet River Bridge) towards Newport, RI. Follow Rt. 114 S to the traffic light at Admiral Kalbfus Rd. (approx. 6 miles). Take a right onto Admiral Kalbfus Rd and follow it to the rotary at the Newport Jai Alai (Hi Li). Proceed 1/2 around the rotary and exit. Cross the railroad tracks and take a left at the traffic light at the top of the hill onto Third Street. Third Street becomes a one-way street. When you get to the one-way sign, you need to turn right on Sycamore and go around the block to come back onto Third Street. Date of Stay: 2009-01-01 This was a perfect bed and breakfast. It was a 10 minute walk from downtown in a lovely neighborhood. We rented both rooms and had teh whole apartment to ourselves which included a kitchen. The hosts were wonderful. Every morning we had a lovely breakfast surprise waiting for us -- from homemade bread to cinnamon rolls! They were extremely accomodating and let us check out at 6 p.m. in the evening. The amenities were clean and comfortable, and the prices the most reasonable we could find. We highly reccomend this inn!
