An early 1900's traditional clapboard home with a serene atmosphere of the best offered in a post-Victorian renovation completed in 1997. Meticulously detailed, these spacious and comfortable smoke-free accommodations include a private entrance, off street parking, private bath, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, air conditioning, cable TV/VCR, in-room telephone and guest parlor with working fireplace. The guest rooms, Autumn and December, are wired for music with in wall speakers which add to the relaxed ambiance of the bed and breakfast. The rooms are named after the tranquil music of Windham Hill record labels, music which you can enjoy at your discretion in the comfort of your room. Be sure to bring your favorite CD or tape for that special occasion. Open year round, delight in our homemade continental 'plus' style breakfast with fresh brewed coffee, tea and juices. Centrally located in historic Newport, less than a mile from Bellevue Avenue's famed mansions, downtown waterfront shops, restauraunts, and the ocean beach.

Driving Directions: From points north: Take Route 24S to the end where Route 114S begins. Remain on Route 114S into Newport where Broadway begins at intersection of stop light/Sunoco station. Continue on to Broadway for eight blocks and take a left on to Gibbs Avenue. Windsome is located two and one half blocks on the right. From points south: Take Newport Bridge to first exit, (Scenic Newport). Take right off ramp and left on Van Zandt Avenue at first stop light. Remain on Van Zandt Avenue/Summer Street to the end (third stop sign) unil it intersects Broadway. Take left on Broadway and first right on to Gibbs Avenue. Windsome is located two and one half blocks on the right.
