The house was built circa 1850 by one of Newport's prominent families, the Kings. The rooms have been lovingly restored to recapture the feel as well as the look of the Victorian period in Newport. Each of the rooms was decorated with a distinctive theme in mind. It won't take much imagination to whisk you back to that bygone era of opulence and gentility. The breakfast conservatory on the third floor has a breathtaking view of Newport Harbor, the Ida Lewis Yacht Club, and Fort Adams (location of music festivals). Guests can observe the status of festival parking before leaving the breakfast table. An extra cup of coffee may be possible!

Driving Directions: When you hit NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND : Once on America's Cup Ave. (Waterfront), stay in right lane and merge onto Thames St. After Shell Gas Station, take 2nd left onto Dixon St. Turn right into parking lot at sign for 503 Spring St. Please enter through front.

From BOSTON, MA : Take Rt. I-93 S to Rt. 24 S to Rt. 114 S (becomes Broadway). After left at Pier 1 Imports, follow traffic onto America's Cup Ave. (See above.)

From NY, CT & NJ: Take I-95 to Rt. 138 E (Exit 3A) to Jamestown Bridge and over the Newport Bridge. Take first exit once over the bridges (Downtown/Scenic Newport). Follow to Farewell St. (Rt. 238). Bear right onto America's Cup Ave. (See above).

From NORTHERN RI, PROVIDENCE AIRPORT & NEARBY MA: Take I-95 S to exit 9 in E. Greenwich, RI (Rt. 4) Continue onto Rt.1, then 138 E and over Jamestown Bridge and then Newport Bridge. Take first exit off bridge (Downtown Scenic Newport exit), and turn right on Farewell St. (Rt. 238). Bear Right onto America's Cup Ave.(See above).
