As you cross the threshold at Captain Mey's Inn, you will experience a warm and welcoming atmosphere which the Dutch call "Gezellig". The Dutch heritage is truly evident. You will see Persian rugs on the table tops, a Delft Blue China collection and authentic European antiques throughout. Marvel at the chestnut oak Eastlake paneling in the dining room, leaded glass bay window and restored fireplace with its intricately carved mantel, where one can sip sherry when there is a chill in the air. The inn has been meticulously restored. Special attention is given to guest rooms where one will find Victorian bedroom suites accented with antiques of the Victorian era. All rooms have queen beds and private baths, and don't forget our luxury rooms with a romantic whirlpool tub for two. Breakfast is a special time with candlelight and classical music. A full country breakfast is served accompanied by homemade breads, juices, breakfast meats, fresh fruit and jellies. The wrap-around sun and shade veranda furnished with wicker furniture, hanging ferns and Victorian wind curtains, adds a romantic touch. It is the perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast or a refreshing glass of iced tea when you come from the beach. On a lazy summer afternoon bring a book or have a picnic lunch in "Captain Mey's Courtyard".
