This historic property was once the home of Joseph Q. Williams, Mayor of Cape May during much of the Civil War. In 1878, much of Cape May was devastated by a fire that began just down the street. The Williams House survived making it now one of the oldest in Cape May. Known today as the Bayberry Inn, it is a registered historic site. Bayberry Inn is conveniently located two short blocks from the beach and one block from the shops of Washington Street Mall. Take a short stroll and explore many of Cape May's fine shops and restaurants, the promenade and our sparkling beach beyond. Bayberry Inn has been voted one of the Top 15 B&B's with "Most Perfect Stay" by inngoers in Arrington's Bed & Breakfast Journal's 2003 Book of Lists!
Enjoy the ambiance and serenity of a by-gone era. Our Eastlake parlor set beckons you to relax and unwind. A casual elegance greets you as you enter our 200-year-old dining room, drawn by enticing aromas from the kitchen. We know you'll enjoy our thoughtfully prepared and generous three-course breakfasts. Each guest room in Bayberry Inn is comfortable, tastefully decorated and features a private bath.
