Charleston is located on a peninsula between the Ashley and Cooper Rivers and where they converge, they "form the Atlantic Ocean" as legend chronicles. Since the early 1930s, South Carolina preservationists have strived to keep Charleston's fabric authentic for the world to see, study and simply enjoy even in Fall and Winter.

Driving Directions: Arriving from Airport and 1-26:
(From the airport, take 1-526 to 1-26) When approaching Charleston on 1-26 East, stay on 1-26 until it ends, following signs to "Meeting Street/Visitor's Center." Turn right onto and follow Meeting Street south approximately 1 mile to Calhoun Street, turn right on Calhoun Street and go West approximately 6 blocks to Rutledge Avenue, turn left and follow Rutledge down 6 blocks to Colonial Lake. Belvedere is located on the left at corner of Queen Street.

Arriving from the North on Hwy. 17 South:
After crossing the Cooper River Bridge, turn left onto Meeting Street follow it south approximately 1 mile to Calhoun Street, turn right on Calhoun Street and go West approximately 6 blocks to Rutledge Avenue, turn left and follow Rutledge down 6 blocks to Colonial Lake. Belvedere is located on the left at corner of Queen Street.

Arriving from the South on Hwy. 17 North:
After crossing the Ashley River, turn right on Lockwood Boulevard. Follow the river approximately 1 mile until Lockwood intersects on the left with Beaufain Street. Follow Beaufain Street 3 blocks to Rutledge (Lake will be on right), turn right and Belvedere is one block down on left side, corner of Queen Street.
